Next Sunday  a Second Collection will be taken for 'Peter's Pence' at all our Masses. The proceeds will assist the work of the Holy See in supporting the most needy and helping church communities in difficulty around the world.

 

First Communions At the 11.00 Mass next Sunday, our second group of children who have completed the Sacramental Programme will be making their First Holy Communion.  Several rows of benches will be reserved for families and friends.  Please be prepared as these Masses will have a large attendance so we request that you arrive early.

 

Eucharistic Ministers At today's 11am Mass some of our Eucharistic Ministers will be commissioned or re-commissioned.

 

Parish Advisory Group (PAG) For those who are members of the PAG, the next meeting is on Thursday at 7:30pm in the Rosary Room.

 

St Joseph's Summer Fair This year's summer fair will be held on Saturday 29th June 12-3pm.  Free Entry.  More details on the notice board.  Please come along and support your local school.

 

St Joseph's "High School Musical" will take place July 10th - 12th. Tickets from the school. See the poster in the church porch for more information.

North West Scripture Festival 2019 next Saturday 29th June at Thornleigh Salesian College, Bolton, 9.30am to 3.30 pm.  The theme of this year’s festival will be Peter and Paul: Chosen and Sent.  Prayer and worship; Scripture reflections; Small group conversation; Creative plenary sessions. Icons: an Introduction and Exploration Wednesday 26th of June 7.00pm - 8.30pm at the Beckett Suite, St Thomas of Canterbury Church BL1 4PN. Open to all interested in learning about icons.

Volunteer Readers - If you are wishing to Read at Masses in future weeks please attach your name to the list at the back of Church. Readings can be collected from Fr John or Fr Richard. The 11am Masses today and next Sunday (the 30th) will be covered by the families of those making their First Holy Communion.
